 2012 MEMBERSHIPS.

Please and as soon as possible go to the web site and download the 2012 membership form, fill it out and return it Denise Cochand via mail or bring it to a club meeting. Be sure to make checks payable to Snake River Karters. If you have any issues downloading the form contact myself or Denise. It is very important that we get memberships in as soon as possible because this year we will have membership cards and a slightly different tracking system to get folks through registration faster. Again, don't wait for the first race if you can help it! Click this link to get to the form. Membership Form

 TRACK IMPROVEMENTS

This off season we've been working on multiple projects. One of which has been track barriers. We've contracted with Custom Roto Molding of Caldwell to build a mold for our own plastic barrier. Our first order will be in right after the tooling is complete for the mold. The club will then own the mold and order barriers as needed. This is all at 1/4 the cost of barriers that we will have to order from out of town. SRK will be accepting donations for barrier purchases and we'll add your name to the barrier. We haven't finalized details on each barrier cost but we'll have more details in the coming weeks. We will also have an opportunity for businesses to put up signs and banners at the track for $200.00 dollars and all proceeds go to track improvement and barriers. More details to come but if you are interested in sponsoring some barriers please contact me. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . You can also download an information form located on the home page.

 WEB SITE UPDATES.

The web site is about 90% updated. We've had a few bugs starting out the year but I'm getting them under contol. Be sure to keep an eye on the web site and check the rules for updates regularly. Our 2012 club officers and new board members are listed. Lot's of good info on the web site so be sure to check it all out!

 EVENT CHANGES.

If you were at the awards banquet there has been some changes to our swap meet and an additions to the 2012 events that weren't previously listed. A quick list below and see our "Track Updates" section on www.snakeriverkarters.com.

 CLONE CLASS

Starting 2012 we will be introducing on a test basis a new beginner senior class. The clone engine class information will be posted soon. All rules will be per IKF and a new (FOR THIS CLASS ONLY) engine claim rule will be introduced so if you are planning to build one, keep it cheap and per rules or someone could claim it after a race. More info to come and if you have a need to details right away please don't hesitate to call me.

Web site log on issues??

Please let me know if you have errors, not approved status or password issues. I can update your password and or approve your registration.

What can logging on accomplish?

  • You can post to classified adds.

If you have any questions please contact me.

Thanks

CALLING ALL KID KARTS

All points bulletin for kid karts....our first race was a great turn out for all classes but kid karts.  Our single kid kart looked as if he had a great time, but would have loved some friends to race with.

As kids advance to older age groups the class they moved up from sometimes thins out a bit. As a non-profit racing club it can be a challenge to keep an eye on the future of each racing class. I ask that all club members help to keep our club membership strong, healthy and fun! Actively promoting membership is as easy as just getting the word out and or looking to fill an empty seat with local racers if at all possible instead of just posting and selling out of town.

If you have a kid kart and a driver, we would love to see you out at the track.  If you've had a racer move up and still have that kart. Help out the club and do some recruiting. We all know every kid that hits the track in a kid kart is sure to have some fun. It's a benefit to the club and we all love to have more racers to run with!

If you need assistance getting started, mechanical issues or if you have any issues at all that are keeping you off the track, let a club official know and we'll see what we can do to help.

Thanks for reading!

BUMPER UPDATES

I've had quite a few questions about the rear bumpers and  heard a  lot of rumors about changes to the rules. They have made some clearification but it seems the rules stay the same for the wider bumper.

The IKFs web site front page has a posting for the April IKF board of directors minutes.  Please follow the link to the IKFs web site and down load the PDF file that has the detailed minutes.

http://www.ikfkarting.com/ (this is the home page)

http://www.ikfkarting.com/OfficePages/PDFs/MeetingMinutes/2011-04-BoardMeetingMinutes.pdf (should pull the PDF)

The IKFs web site has a wealth of information and is a good source for updates such as this.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks
